Obituary of Dolores Dineen
Dolores A. Dineen, 90, of Claymont, DE passed away peacefully at home on April 4, 2024. She was born and raised in Wilmington, DE by her parents Ann (Socorso) and Dominick Albanese. Dolores graduated from P.S. DuPont High School in 1951. She went to work for DuPont, Delaware Lead and Chase before retiring. She had a special love for family and friends, whether it was cooking for family gatherings, baking her “famous peach pie” or enjoying time at the beach with her family. Later in life she enjoyed attending sporting events for her grandchildren, playing cards and doing her daily crossword puzzles. In addition to her parents, Dolores is preceded in death by her husband Francis Dineen, and brothers: James and Richard Albanese. She is survived by her children; Sharon Sicilian (Steven), Francis Dineen (Andrea), and Diane Dineen, her brother Larry (Patti) Albanese, grandchildren; Matthew (Erin), Lauren (James), Shawn (Julia), and Stephanie, and great-grandchildren, Roni, Jackie, Benny along with many nieces and nephews. A viewing for Dolores will take place on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, from 9:45-10:45 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE. A funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery in Wilmington, DE.
