My brother from another mother.
When we left the army I never thought I would really see any of those guys again, but Zulu (Tom) and I linked up in NYC. Everytime he would come to NY he would call and say "Zulu deh yah" Liberian-Jamaican accent. Everytime I went to Philly it would be "Zion deh yah". My whole family laugh about it all the time. Its just the way he said it and it was just that voice of a friend that was always good to hear. We had some good times ... if he was your friend, then he was your friend for life. If he didn't like you then it would be "A**hole". That dude was funny.
My first football game was at Giants Stadium and he was the one who took me (because I usually watch on TV and never thought about it) Once I entered the stadium, I was hooked. I will always thank him for that experience. Although, I didnt visit him as often in the nursing home, I will miss him sooo much.
