Obituary of John George Seffein

John George Seffein, born in Cairo, Egypt, in May 1979, continued his life to be with the Lord on April 18th, 2024, from Dallas, Texas. He was known for faith, love, and generosity; John was the cherished son of Madeline Mina (1953-2018) and George Astafanous (1936-2020).

His life was a testament to devotion, both to his family and his unwavering faith in God. He was not just a brother but a pillar of strength and love for his three sisters: Gihan Sifen, who is married to Joseph Ghobreyal; Hanaa Toma, who is married to Nader Toma; and Nora Gabra, who is married to Bassem Gabra. His presence, love, and faith will forever be a part of their lives.

John's life revolved around his strong faith in the Lord, which guided every aspect of his life, including his career and marriage. In 2015, he married Nancy Seffein, and together, they were blessed with two precious children, Nora (7 years old) and George (3 years old). John's devotion to his family was unwavering, and he did everything in his power to ensure that they thrived in every way possible.

John's heart overflowed with kindness, love, and selflessness throughout his life. He was not just a friend but a steadfast companion, a supportive brother, and a beloved son. His generosity knew no bounds, extending even to strangers he encountered. Money held little value to John; instead, he found fulfillment in glorifying the Lord and enriching the lives of those around him, leaving a lasting impression of his selflessness.

John was a highly dedicated individual who spent his life serving others. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Helwan University and established a successful career that allowed him to impact people's lives positively. John's infectious personality and sense of humor were integral to his work as a Realtor and Limousine company owner. He found immense joy in creating positive experiences for others and was committed to making a difference in people's lives.

John's positive influence was not limited to his immediate family. He served as a beacon of inspiration for his nieces and nephews, including Natalie (21), Nicolas (16), Layla (16), Julia (15), Moses (9), and Nellie (9). His visits to Philadelphia, PA, were marked by joy and laughter, and he radiated a warmth that filled any room he was in, leaving a deep and lasting impression on everyone he encountered, forever shaping their lives.

As we bid farewell to John, we are comforted by the knowledge that his legacy of love, compassion, and steadfast faith will continue to inspire all who knew him. We deeply appreciate everyone touched by John's life and humbly ask for your support and prayers during this challenging time.

A Mass of Christian Burial will held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
