My memories of Mrs. DiFranks are filled with laughter. She had an infectious smile that literally lit up her face and her sense of humor would always draw plenty of chuckles from whomever was with her. She was always willing to join in the fun too. When we became adults, we loved having her join our get-togethers because we were promised a great time when she was there.
An endearing memory of her that is etched in my mind is from when I was a little girl and would go over to play with Mary Lou. It involved the newspaper. It was always a familiar sight in her hands and not one letter from the society page would miss her eagle eye. To this little girl at the time, she made her observations sound so interesting…I had no clue who the people were that she was talking about but she sure made it sound exotic to me. And her interests didn’t stop there…she knew about world events, politics, you name it, from when I met her until the present day. She was one of the most well-informed people I knew…a Renaissance woman of sorts.
This photo is from a Christmas Tea for moms and daughters I hosted at my home a few years back. Just guess who provided a fair amount of the entertainment that day.
On May 5, the world lost a bright spirit. I was privileged to know you for so many years. You will be missed but never forgotten. May you rest in the peace and love of the Lord Mrs. D.

I am very sorry for your loss.
I have fond memories of Nick and Margaret, especially the good humor, wit and love of their family that both shared.

I am saddened to learn of “Mrs DiFranks” passing. I grew up
with the DiFranks family enjoying them as great neighbors. Mrs.DiFranks was like my second mom and kept Johnny and my self in line when she saw us getting into possible mischief.
I remember her soft boiled eggs and toast and ginger snaps cookies she alway had. My fondest childhood memories include the DiFranks family.
God be with the family and may she rest in peace!

Dear Claire
Words cannot express the sadness you are going through; I hope that time can help to heal and only nice memories will remain of the time you had together as a family. I am thinking about you and sending my heartfelt sympathies and condolences.
