Since I lived in my grandparents house in my early childhood years, and Uncle Walt was only 5 years older than me, he teased, supported, defended and bossed me like a little sister. He said I ran like a girl. Something the tom-boy in me found insulting, but he was always up foe playing catch with me. In my teen years when I was no longer under the same roof, I was surprised we liked the same music. Of course by then I had "good taste". When I asked him to walk me down the aisle, he was bursting with pride, and I was so grateful to have him. And so it was,for the rest of our life, always there, always loving. God blessed Uncle Walt in birth, in finding the love of his life to be his bride, with whom he raised great girls who became strong, loving women and with numerous admiring family and friends. In all ways it counts, he was a wealthy man.
Until we meet again Uncle Walt, I love you and miss you. Debbie

When I retired from Fannie Mae in March of 2107 you can see who was front and center. Walt and Sylvia were always there to support and encourage you through life’s different twist and turns. He loved to hold conversations especially at our “Happy Hours” but even more so when he and Sylvia were hosting you at their home. A man with a heart of gold and like myself loved his family more than anything in this world. You’ve finished the course….and completed the race”! You will be missed but the many memories will help sustain all of us through the days and years ahead. Rest Well My Friend!! ❤️

I will always remember that Uncle Walt found a way, almost every day, to come visit my mom when she was in the hospital, rehab, and eventually hospice before she passed away. He was there for his sister, even though he was dealing with health issues of his own. Uncle Walt was always a man of great character and his family meant the world to him. He will certainly be missed by many. Don Billbrough
