Obituary of Joseph E. Maley

Joseph E. Maley "Joe" of Garnet Valley, PA passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024 at Lankenau Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA by his late parents; Joseph F. and Eleanor Canfield Maley. Joe resided in Garnet Valley for the past 7 years, previously residing in Drexel Hill, PA. He loved and cherished his wife and children, and he adored his grandchildren and loved spending time with them. Joe had a great sense of humor and loved a good laugh. He served his country in the Air Force for 4 years and worked as a Locomotive Engineman for Conrail for 35 years before retiring. He enjoyed sports, music, movies, and watching Antique Road Show. Joe is survived by his loving wife Rose Mary Bartley Maley, 2 children; Brian (Shannon) Maley, and Joanne (John) Gribbin, his brother Lawrence Maley, and 3 grandchildren; Keira, Declan, and Liam. A visitation for Joe will take place on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 9:30AM-10:30AM at St. John Fisher Catholic Church 4225 Chichester ave, Boothwyn, PA 19061. A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30AM. Interment will be held at S.S. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. Donations in his memory may be sent to Project Home Foundation (www.projecthome.org).
