Bob was our neighbor in Elkton, and I have a fond memory of him from when I was about 10 (1992). He let me fish off of he & Ginny's dock and I used to try and cast as far away from the dock as I could. After several hours of not catching anything, Bob came down to the dock and told me to just drop the line next to dock piling. Within about a minute, I was pulling up small perch! As a 10 year old, it never occurred to me to think about what to do with a fish if I ever caught one, so I was stuck with a fish on the end of my hook and no idea what to do next. Bob went back into his house and grabbed a fish hook remover which I had never seen before and I thought it was the coolest tool ever. He helped me unhook the perch, then we released it back into the Elk River. He gave me that fish hook remover and I still have it and use it with my kids. He also taught me how to set my rod up with a multi-hook cat-fishing rig that he gave me and I used that for several years to pull catfish. He was an extremely kind man, and my thoughts are with his family as they work through his loss. Marcus Ciuryla

We were sadden to learn of Bob’s passing and send our deepest condolences to Ginny and family. We have many fond memories of our times with them on the Elk river and will think of them fondly each time we look at the house. The Ciuryla Family
