Obituary of Barbara J Mooney

Barbara J. Mooney, age 58 of Newark, DE died on January 9, 2017 after a courageous battle with Leukemia. A Delaware resident most of her life, she recently resided in Garnet Valley, PA. Barbara was a Comptroller for the State of Delaware Superior Court. She graduated from Brandywine High School, and received her BS Degree from the University of Delaware and University of Virginia. She received her Masters from Drexel University. Barbara enjoyed traveling and had a unique passion for growing Orchids. She is preceded in death by her father, James Mooney who died in 2015, and a brother, David Mooney who died in 1999. Barbara is survived by her mother, Joan Cushion Mooney, a brother & his wife, James R. & Karen Mooney, a nephew & a niece, Brayden & Kaylin Mooney. A visitation will be held on Friday, 9:15-10:00AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral services at 10:00AM. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
