Obituary of Thomas J. Brittingham Jr.
Thomas J. Brittingham Jr. “Britt”, age 80, of West Chester, PA, passed away on July 7, 2024, at his daughter's home in Glen Mills, PA. Born in Ridley Park and raised in Media, PA, he was the beloved son of the late Thomas J. Sr. and Anne Brittingham, and the brother of the late Gregory Brittingham. Britt resided in West Chester for over 40 years. He was a graduate of West Chester University and spent 4 years in the Air National Guard. He was a longtime salesman for Sunbeam Appliances, where he was recognized as “Salesman of the Year” in 1982, an honor he was very proud of. Britt retired in 2008. He enjoyed playing chess, watching movies, shopping, and, in his earlier years, taking his family on vacations to Sea Isle City where he enjoyed crabbing and fishing. Britt was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, with a special love for watching the Phillies and Eagles. Above all, Britt cherished his time with his daughters and their families. His grandchildren were the lights of his life, and he spent most of his time attending their sporting events, races, concerts, plays, and recitals. When he was well, he would be hard pressed to miss an event with the family. Britt is survived by his two daughters, Pam Warner (Jason) and Tricia Neff (Dan); his grandchildren Aidan, Addison and Nolan Neff and Ryan and Molly Warner; his brother, Brad Brittingham (Annie), his nieces Caitlin and Terri Lynne and his nephew Sean. Funeral services and interment will be held privately. Donations in his memory may be made to The University of Pennsylvania’s Head and Neck Cancer Program (Giving to Penn) (https://giving.apps.upenn.edu/fund?fastStart=simpleForm&program=MC&fund=601209&appeal=PMWEB).
