Obituary of Charles William Hardin
Charles William Hardin, age 78, of Garnet Valley, PA, passed away on July 29, 2024, at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born in Philadelphia and raised in the Gray's Ferry section of South Philadelphia, Charles was a dedicated worker and a beloved family man. He spent 20 years as a Printer for Mid City Press and later worked as a manager for the PA State Liquor Stores before retiring.
Charles enjoyed visiting Atlantic City casinos, taking cruises, and spending time at Rehoboth Beach with friends. He had a deep love for animals and cherished moments with his grandchildren. A proud veteran, Charles served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Charles C. and Vera DiDomenicis Hardin, and his brother, Barnett Hardin, Charles is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Kathleen DeKorne Hardin; his son, Jeffrey (Jill) Hardin; and his two grandchildren, Alexander and Kaitlyn Hardin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 5th, from 9-11 AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA. A Funeral Liturgy will begin at 11 AM. Interment will follow at S.S. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
