I'm so sorry to hear about Doug. We worked together at (Gander Hill) aka HRYCI for more than 20yrs. I used to call him Dougie Fresh!! He was good people, straight up and to the point. He always kept me laughing. Sometimes we would cross paths at Boothwyn at the sticky bun counter and then joke about how much weight we would be gain later. My condolences to the family. Doug was one of a kind and he will be sorely missed by his buddy's who worked with him at the "Hill". May your happy memories give you peace and comfort during this challenging time.”
Respectfully,
Tysha Bryant

Only met Doug three years ago. But connected instantly as if I just met a brother I never had. A man that believes in family and most of all a great American. Go Air Force. Peace brother. Love Joe and Joann

My sincere condolences to all of Doug's family, especially sister Christine:
I hadn't seen Doug since he left for the Air Force. Doug was one of a few serious athletes in the neighborhood, and i was the runt. He and the other big kids let me play basketball with them, anyway. He started calling me Physical Ed, probably because I was wearing my school gym shirt. If you had known me, that's the last nickname that would come to mind.
RIP Dougie. Go Bruins!

Doug was our dear neighbor for 10 years and treated us like his children. He was so loving, helpful, and caring to us. We developed a unique bond with him and would chat every day. We have fond memories fishing with him, swimming, taking down trees, splitting firewood, and having laughs on his back deck. Anthony and I will miss him greatly. Love Anthony & Natalie Truscello
