To the family of Scott Jones please accept my heartfelt condolences at the passing of Scott.
I've lknown Scott since I was a teenager and his family lived next to mine in Linwood.
He was a great young man and always gave a helping hand when working on projects and watched him grow to be a great craftsman. He will be missed.
Your old friend Tom Fry

To Scott’s family, I extend my deepest condolences. Scott was an incredible person who I am grateful to have met.
I met Scott a little over a year ago. We had planned to ride to OC MD. for the weekend rally. The plan was to meet with Scott at his home and we’d then head to OC. We arrived, introduced ourselves and were quickly on the road off to the rally. We typically ride pretty much as fast as possible when it’s reasonable. Nothing too crazy, but given that it’s important to be on the same page when riding as a group. Understanding that the pace we go is not always a great fit for everyone, and simply common courtesy, it’s one important thing to discuss before we leave. If one says let’s keep it speed limit, then we all agree that’s how we will proceed. So after introductions we discussed this and basics of the route we take etc. I’ll say this, the minute we got around to the point of basically, “how crazy you want to get once we hit open road?” I knew immediately by the ear to ear smile that I saw on Scott’s face left no need for explanation, I knew the answer to that question! So, as I said we wasted no time getting on the road. The whole meet greet hit the street was maybe 10 minutes. So we make our first gas stop after riding for a nice stretch, which was as natural as if Scott was riding with with us for years. Completely lock step, fast and hard riding. You don’t ride with people like that unless you can develop a trust in the others riding abilities as any minor mistake or miscommunication in the open air environment can ruin everyone’s day, to put it mildly. Like I said, we made the first stop after a great stretch and when we get to the gas pumps Scott is absolutely overjoyed with the first leg of the trip. I’ll never forget how happy he was and wasn’t holding back. He basically said he loves riding like that but hasn’t in long time and it was just pure adrenaline. I’ll keep it short by saying after that, the remaining ride to the rally and the entire weekend as a whole one I won’t forget. It’s not often you meet a person that you form a bond with in such a short amount of time and that one that shortly after introduction’s feels like a brother you’ve known all your life. I just wanted to share that with everyone because I quickly found a great friend in Scott and for me that speaks volumes to the man’s character. In the short time I was fortunate enough to have know him, he left an indelible impression on me and I will miss him. I hope this story puts a smile on the face of all who read it. I’ve had a smile the entire time writing this.
I’ll miss you brother, till we meet again!
