Obituary of John E. Reed

John E. Reed, age 74, of Garnet Valley, PA, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017, at Crozer Chester Medical Center. John was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, he then resided in Collingdale, Pa, and then spent the last ten years in Garnet Valley. For thirty years, John was a Head Operator at Sunoco Refinery, where he retired in 2001. He was a proud veteran and served in the Navy. John enjoyed playing cards, walking, and taking day trips. John also had a life time hobby of collecting coins. John is preceded in death by his parents; Robert G. Reed Sr. and Anna (nee Montgomery) Reed and sister Cherly Ann Pierce. John is survived and missed by his wife of 54 years; Kay (nee Robinson) Reed, 3 children; daughters Colleen (George) Ellis and Kimberly (John) Alesi, and son John (Karen) Reed, brother Robert G. Reed Jr., and 8 grandchildren; Alyssa (Edward) Regan, Jessica D'Angelo Michael D'Angelo, Joshua Ellis, Tyler Reed, Frank Campanile, Ryan Reed, and Mia Campanile. Relatives and friends are invited to attend John's Memorial Service on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at 11AM, at Pagano Funeral Home 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA 19060, where friends may call from 10-11AM.
