The members of Ogden Fire Company offer their prayers and condolences to members of “Sam” Sheid’s family. Sam was a dedicated member of the Fire Company for many years. During this time, he accepted leadership positions, using his skills and abilities for the best interest of the community. As a dedicated volunteer, “Sam” set an example for others to contribute their time in service and personal sacrifice. This example extended to the workplace, where again he took a leadership role within the union. As an Eagle Scout, and throughout, he lived and represented the Boy Scout slogan, “Do a Good Turn Daily.” May “Sam” Rest in Peace. William T. Robinson, President, Ogden Fire Company No. 1

Sam was one of a kind. He worked hard n helped everybody he met, weather it was at work or a ride to the doctor's. He loved his wife n his daughter Beth so very much!! I am glad to call him my cousin! There is one thing I do know, Heaven is a better place with Sam in it !!! RIP SAMMY

Sam and I were friends from high school. He was a dedicated friend and a fellow fireman at Ogden, station 55. Was lucky enough to do a few thousand emergencies with him. Will miss him pulling up my drive to deliver coupons for my allergy meds. R.I.P. peace Pal

Our deepest condolences to Mary and the entire Sheid family. It was nothing more than an honor to work with Sam for 40 years at Esschem. He loved his job, both with the company and also as Secretary Treasurer. One gentle man I will sorely miss. God bless you Sam, For you were a true man among men. Tony and Suzanne Calise
