Obituary of Ruth A. McDannell

Ruth A. McDannell passed away suddenly on October 4, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Frank Silvestri, who passed away in 2010.

They enjoyed traveling, spending the winter months in Fort Myers, FL, where they had many wonderful friends from around the country. There, she was a member of the bottoms up club.

She enjoyed gardening, ceramics, and time at the beach. She enjoyed having large family and friend gatherings to celebrate all occasions while dressed in her sparkles. She enjoyed her grandchildren's sports outings and was always there to cheer them on.

Later in life, she was a member of the sellers senior center, where she played games and traveled with many friends that she made.

She was a devoted and loving mom and mommom to all of us. She is survived by her children: Brian Baran, Mark Baran, Lisa and her husband Brian Downey ; grandchildren: Josh Baran, Kevin (Michelle) Baran, Rhiannon Downey, and Brian Downey III; two great-grandchildren, Adie and Andie Baran and her little dog KC.
