Joe was a one of a kind guy. I always held so much respect for who he was as a person. He had such a passionate sense of justice and would get so involved in everything he cared about. He'd always be so dependable and kind even in cases where most people wouldn't have chosen the same path. He had such an infectious laugh that even an unfunny joke would become funny. He's a part of so many stories I still hold dear. Joe was a part of my life I look back on so fondly and I am so grateful for what our relationship was. Even though it's been a long time and our lives took us on different paths, I always cared from afar. When I saw him or heard what he was up to through our frat brothers, I was always rooting for him, wishing him nothing but happiness. I wish I could have been there today to say goodbye, but living in another country now does not make that easy or affordable. Wishing his friends, family members and all the people who cared for him deeply strength during such a difficult time. Love always, Suezette

Jumpin Joe Krause will be deeply missed. He was a great friend of mine during grade school, and I have fun memories of playing on basketball and football teams together. I especially remember playing football in his backyard (with his dad as all time QB.) Joe also was the one to show me multiple video games, one that comes to mind was the Star Wars game. Joe will be deeply missed, and I consider myself lucky to call him a friend. Love and Regards, Josh Bildoeau

Dear family I retired from Polysciences in feb this year. Though I did not work directly with Joe, we did have several conversations over time. I knew to be respectful, quiet and a good worker. I live in VT otherwise I’d be there to show respect. I was fond of Joe .

I’ll never forget when you and I went to the theater and watched hereditary late one night and we both got so scared that both of our masculine personas deflated and we had to hang out in my parents living room with all the lights on for the rest of the night like we were children. I will never find the words to describe the impact you had on my life. You thought me how to laugh at myself and how to be confident yet humble. Or that you can be compassionate, strong, sarcastic, and joyous all the same time. We toured all around the country together and we played some unforgettable shows and through every milestone of my young adult life, you were there supporting me. I will never forget those times we had and I was so luckily to know you so well. I love you Joe. Thank you for being my friend.
