Obituary of Andrea R. Bythewood

Andrea R. Bythewood, age 81, of Glen Mills, PA, passed away on November 6, 2024 at Rose Court at Maris Grove. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Andrea spent the past nine years in Glen Mills, having previously resided in Nyack, NY, for over 45 years. A retired educator from the State University of New York, Andrea was a dedicated member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She was an active member of St. Charles AME Zion Church in Sparkill, NY. Andrea enjoyed cooking, reading, knitting, keeping busy on her iPads and spending time with her precious puppy, Lovebug. In her younger years, she loved to dance, ice-skate, ride her bike and tend to her garden.

Andrea was predeceased in death by her parents, Joseph and Carmen Thompson Smith, and her beloved husband, Robert Bythewood who died in 2019. She is survived by her daughter, Allegra Bythewood; her son, Adrian Bythewood; and her five cherished grandchildren.
