Obituary of Judith A. Christy

Judith A. Christy, age 85, of Garnet Valley, PA, passed away peacefully at home on January 6, 2025. Born and raised in Chester, PA, Judith lived in the Winterset Farms community for over 20 years, following many years in her hometown. Judith dedicated 36 years of service as a secretary for the Teamsters Union at Emery Worldwide shipping company until her retirement. She was a proud graduate of St. Robert's Elementary School, Class of 1952, and Notre Dame Moylan, Class of 1956. A nature enthusiast, Judith found joy in birdwatching, feeding the birds, gardening, and working on puzzles. Summers spent in North Wildwood and Stone Harbor, NJ, brought her much happiness and cherished memories. Judith was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Emil and Katherine Fulton Ebner; her husband, James J. Christy, who passed in 2021; and her son, James M. Christy, who passed in 2008. She is lovingly remembered by her children, David (Alisha) Christy, Cindy (Deb) Christy, and Bobby (Linda) Christy; her daughter-in-law, Donna Christy; and her siblings, Nancy Booth, Teddy Ebner, Ruthanne Ferguson, Kathy Valente, Barry Ebner, and Marybeth Schivert. She was also blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Friday January 17, 2025 at Mt Hope Cemetery, Aston, PA at 11AM. For those attending we will meet at the Mt. Hope Cemetery entrance at 10:45 AM, then proceed to the grave for the service.
