Obituary of Patricia Murray

Patricia Ann Commerford Murray, 91, of Glen Mills, PA died peacefully on January 15, 2025 at Rose Court at Maris Grove. Born in Middletown, CT, she resided in Concord Township, PA since 1985, previously residing in San Jose, CA. In high school Pat was a member of the national honor society, a member of the basketball team and a cheerleader. Always active, she was an avid bowler well into her 80s. She had worked in banking and after raising her sons graduated from San Jose City College and then worked for the San Jose Unified School District as an aid in special education. Devoted to her faith, Patricia was an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and also had supported the CCD program as a secretary. A devoted wife and mother, she always enjoyed traveling, shooting baskets back in the day, soaking up the sun at the Pinehurst Cabana Club and participating in the PTA and School Site Counsel. Patricia is preceded in death by Richard F. Murray III her husband of 52 years her son, Shaun Patrick Murray who died in 1977, father, Walter Commerford, Mother Grace Bonin Commerford, sisters Grace, Mary (Mame) and C, Suzanne Ryan, and brother Walter Commerford Jr. Survivors: sons, Richard F. (Lisa) Murray IV and Timothy W. Murray (Joseph Matassino) , sister in Law, Karen Murray, nephew Ryan Murray, niece Meegan Bunch, nephew Joe Ryan, great nieces and nephews 2 step granddaughters, Lindsay (David) Garey and Laural (Michael) Munroe, 6 step great grandchildren. Visitation: Saturday, January 18, from,9:15-10:15a.m., at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 430 Valleybrook Rd., Glen Mills, PA 19342.
