Obituary of Carolann Weirich

Carolann Weirich, age 88, of Lenni, PA, passed away peacefully at home on January 20, 2025. Born in Upland, PA, and raised in Chichester, PA, Carol had resided in Lenni for the past 67 years, previously living in Twin Oaks, PA.

A dedicated homemaker, Carol began her career at Hercules Powder Company before devoting herself to raising her family. She was a proud graduate of Chichester High School, Class of 1955, and furthered her education at Goldey-Beacom College. Carol was a longtime member of Lima United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, Friendship Chapter 551 in Springfield, PA.

Carol cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She found joy in gardening, antiquing, and relaxing at her home on the Indian River.

In addition to her parents, Lankford S. and Florence Thompson Austin, Carol was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Karl Weirich, who passed in April 2024, and two siblings, Richard and Roy Austin.

She is survived by her three children, Stephen (Sandra) Weirich, Andrew (Michelle) Weirich, and Shana (Jeffery) Donnelly; James L. Crothers Sr., who was like a son; five grandchildren, Christopher Weirich, Alexander (Emily) Weirich, Bridgette Weirich (fiancé Luke Shenold), Daniel Donnelly, and Cole Donnelly; and her devoted caregiver, Madona Kukohvila.

A Special thanks to Caroline, Noel and Tim from Amedisys Hospice for all their care.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12th, from 9:30 to 10:45 AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a Celebration of Life service for both Carol and Karl at 11 AM.
