Obituary of Gerard J McFadden Sr.

Gerard J. McFadden Sr., age 66, of Aston, PA, passed away peacefully at home on January 22, 2025. Born in Chester and raised in Lenni, PA, Gerard was a lifelong resident of Aston.

Gerard worked as an Internal Technician for Wawa for 19 years, dedicating himself to his craft and his Wawa team. He attended St. Francis de Sales grade school and graduated from Sun Valley High School. A devoted fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Gerard loved all things football and spent his free time golfing, fishing, playing pool, building, and listening to music.   Above all, he cherished the moments spent with his beloved family and friends. Anyone that got the privilege to know Gerard, knew he had a heart of gold and would help anyone. 

In addition to his parents, Gerard was preceded in death by his brothers and sister: Chris, Jimmy, Dennis, Fran, John and Caroline. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Elizabeth S. Becht McFadden; his three children, Lisa (John) O'Reilly, Jacqueline (Michael Jr.) O'Donnell, and Gerard (Marissa) McFadden Jr.; his siblings, Michael (Teri) McFadden, Joseph (Rosemary) McFadden, Lynda (Glenn) White, and Suzanne Fassino; and his eight grandchildren: Taylor (Shane) Mullen, Amber Shifflett, Robert Shifflet Jr., Keenan O'Reilly, Kaylanna O'Donnell, Lexianna O'Donnell, Julian Gerard McFadden, and Madelyn McFadden.

Gerard “Big G” will be deeply missed by all his family and friends especially,  his Wawa work buddies who were family to him.
