Obituary of Lura K. Conner

Lura K. Conner, age 88 of Garnet Valley, PA died on February 3, 2017 at her home. Born to the late Robert & Lura Scull King, she was raised and resided in Bethel Twp. all of her life. A homemaker, Lura was devoted to her faith and a lifelong member of Mt. Hope U.M. Church. In her early years, she was a Cub Scout Mother in her son's scouting years. She served on the Bethel Twp. Recreation Board and volunteered on election day at the polls. She enjoyed sewing and gardening and as a member of the Bethel Twp. Seniors Club, she enjoyed time spent with the Pinochle Club and also their monthly meetings. In addition to her parents, Lura is preceded in death by her husband, Henry T. Conner Sr. who died in 1995, 5 siblings, Elsie Smith, Robert King Jr., Helen Bruton, Ira King & John King, son-in-law, Raymond Forshey and her grandson, Chad Forshey. Lura is survived by 2 children, Henry (Donna) T. Conner Jr. & Judy A. Forshey, 3 grandchildren, Tom Conner III, Todd (Mike) Conner & Shannon (Brian) Sweeney and 4 great grandchildren, Cori, Dylan, Conner & Jaxon. A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, 7-9PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA and also on Wednesday, 10:00-10:45AM at Mt. Hope U.M. Church, 4020 Concord Rd., Aston, PA 19014 followed by funeral services at 11:00AM. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Mt. Hope U.M. Church at the above address.
