Obituary of Paul R. Mayer

Paul R. Mayer Sr., 80, of Claymont, DE, passed away suddenly Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Crozer Chester Medical Center. Paul was born in Chester, PA, raised in Upland, PA, and moved to Chestertown, MD. Paul had been a resident of Claymont for about 8 years. Paul was a Korean War Veteran and served in the Army. For many years, Paul was a truck driver and sales associate for Pepsi, and retired in 2002. Paul's favorite aspect of life was spending time with his family and pets. Paul is preceded in death by his parents John W. Mary Anna (Lasek) Mayer. Paul is survived by his son Paul R. Mayer Jr., daughter Marion Blanche Mayer, 2 grandchildren; Dominic and Anthony Blanche, and care giver Terry Powell. Relatives and friends are invited to Paul's graveside services on Tuesday, February 14, 2:30PM, at S.S. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
