Obituary of Will Wheatley

Wilbert E. Wheatley, age 88 of Cochranville, PA died peacefully on March 18, 2017 at Twin Pines Health Care Center. Born and raised in Marcus Hook, PA, he resided for the past 14 years in Cochranville, PA, previously residing in Upper Chichester, PA. Wilbert worked for Sun Oil and Congoleum and was the owner and operator of the Wheatley Amoco Station on Chichester Ave., retiring in 1998. He graduated from Chichester High School class of 1947 and was a past member of the Chichester Business Association. He enjoyed boating, restoring old cars and was devoted to his business. Wilbert is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Myrtle Coleman Wheatley, 2 sons, George and David Emmertz, and is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary C. Quigley Wheatley, 3 daughters, Patricia (Jim) Cape, Sharon (Nick) Nixon and Gloria (Dave) Jones, also numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday 12:00-1:00PM, at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral service at 1PM. Interment Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
