Obituary of Palma M Olivo
Palma M. Olivo, age 96, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 3, 2016. Palma was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, and then raised her family in Hammonton, NJ. She was a clerk at the Pantry Pride Grocery Store for ten years, but spent most of her time raising her five daughters. With a large loving family, Palma always enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her free time, Palma enjoyed escaping to the Atlantic City Casinos.
Palma is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Anna (Zarlengo) Atturi, and 4 siblings.
Palma is survived and missed by her five daughters, Maryann (Nicholas) Manos, Josetta (the Late Don) Christy, Jeannette (Tony) Valente, Joyce (Michael) Manieri, and Donna Casey, 15 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to Palma's Funeral Services on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the St. Pius X Catholic Church, 220 Lawrence Rd, Broomall, PA, calling hours will be from 9-10AM, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM. Interment will immediately follow to S.S. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Palma's name can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
