Obituary of Scott R. McDermott

Scott R. McDermott, age 41 of Wilmington, DE died suddenly on May 5, 2017. Born in Chester, PA, Scott was a lifelong resident of Wilmington, DE. He was a graduate from Concord High School class of 1993. During High School he was a Varsity Wrestler and later wrestled for Team USA in Russia. Prior to traveling to Russia, he trained at Foxcatcher. Scott was employed by his father's company, Frank McDermott Masonry. He was known for his sense of humor and willingness to help others. He enjoyed working out, and loved spending time with his 2 nephews, Frank & Zachary. He will also be sadly missed by his dog, Zues. Scott in preceded in death by his infant sister, Michele McDermott. He is survived by his parents, Frank McDermott Jr. and Clare Maxey McDermott, a brother, Frank M. McDermott of Glen Mills, PA and extended family and friends. A visitation will be held on Tuesday 9:30AM - 11:00AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 11:00AM. Interment will remain private.
