Obituary of Vincent J Iacono
Vincent J. Iacono, age 85 of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2017 at Kutz Home in Wilmington. Born to the late Frank and Adalaide Tassoni Iacono in Chester, PA, he resided in Wilmington, DE and had previously resided in Claymont, DE. A carpenter, he graduated from Chester High School class of 1950. In addition to his parents, Vincent is preceded in death by 2 sons, Michael W. Iacono and Thomas A. Iacono and 4 siblings. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Ethel J. Lichtenstein Iacono, 7 daughters, Anita L. Iacono, Linda J. Solich, Tina M. Grossman, Lisa J. Seramone, Susan J. Stamm, Terri A. Hill and Karen L. Bush and his 26 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Vince will be remembered for his crafty card tricks, giant heart, and ability to capture a room without speaking a word. If he wasn't making someone laugh, then he was probably rooting for the Phillies (or cursing them out) on the fuzzy AM station of his truck radio. Vince specialized in scaring away his daughters' boyfriends, making the best Italian sub you've ever tasted, growing the most beautiful garden every single year, and having the innate ability to make even the saddest grandchild smile. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017, 9:30-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by a funeral liturgy at 11AM. Interment is private. Donations in his memory may be made to the National Stroke Association (http://www.stroke.org/ways-give/donate).
