Obituary of Catherine Geraldine Fleming

Catherine "Gerry" Fleming (nee Glenn), age 82 of Glen Mills, PA died peacefully on April 19, 2018 at Rose Court in Maris Grove. Born and raised in Wilmington, DE she resided for the past 9 years in the Maris Grove Community in Glen Mills, previously residing in the West Chester area for many years. Gerry was a Vice President of operations for JDK Management, Inc. for 18 years retiring in 2009. She graduated from St. Elizabeth's High School class of 1953 and then received her RN degree from St. Francis School of Nursing in Wilmington. She worked as an RN for over 50 years, at various nursing homes in the area, including Martin's Run in Marple Township.In her later years she was a licensed nursing home administrator." A devout catholic, Gerry was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church where she was an Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed volunteering at Maris Grove and traveling, but most of all spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. Gerry is preceded in death by her parents, George J. and Vera F. Glenn and is survived by 5 daughters, Dr. Maureen (Dr. Timothy) Gaul, Patricia (Glenn) Kerwin, Karen (Richard) Rhodes, Elaine (David) Kempers and Kate (Michael) Boyle, brother, George J. Glenn III and sister, Janice Sanna also 11 grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Friday 8:30-9:45AM, at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, 10:30AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington DE.
