Obituary of Louise E. Varney

Louise "Lou" E. Varney, age 73 of Chadds Ford, PA, died peacefully on April 22, 2018 at her home. Born in Buffalo, NY and raised in Kenmore, NY, she resided for the past 49 years in Chadds Ford, PA. Louise graduated from Kenmore West Senior High School, Class of 1962. She was devoted to her faith and was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church where she was part of the Caring and Sharing group, Ministers of Finance and Marriage Encounter. She enjoyed square dancing for 55 years and was a member of the Castle Squares. She volunteered at the Rachel Kohl, St. Thomas and the Salesianum Libraries. She was a member of the Chadds Ford Historical Society and the Civic Association. Louise is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Catherine (Urbanski) Krasinski and is survived by her husband of 48 years, Ted M. Varney, two sons, Christopher (Laura) Varney and Eric (Genevieve Fanelli) Varney, sister, Christine (Rudi) Hellvig, two granddaughters, Madison and Sidney Varney. A visitation will be held on Wednesday 6:00-8:00 PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA and Thursday 9:15-10:15 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment, St. Thomas the Apostle Church Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to Rachel Kohl Library, 687 Smithbridge Road, Glen Mills, PA 19342.
