Obituary of Mabel E. Stockhausen
Mabel E. Stockhausen, age 94 of Dover, Delaware, died on June 6, 2018 at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford Delaware. Born to the late Henry and Mabel Smith Ruhlandt, in Pittsburgh, PA, she resided in Dover, Delaware for the past 3 years, previously residing in the Claymont and Wilmington area since 1973. A homemaker, she was a member of the Church of the Holy Child where she was an Eucharistic Minister. Mabel was a member of the Quilt group as well as the Bridge group. She was on the Junior Board of St. Francis Hospital for 20 years. Mabel was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, Mabel is preceded in death by her husband, Jerome L. Stockhausen who died in 1998 and a daughter, Lauren A. Stockhausen who died in 2016. She is survived by 5 children, Deborah (John) Hathway, Linda (Peter) Polo, Jerome L. (Patricia) Stockhausen Jr., Charles (Sharon) Stockhausen and Kenneth (Laura) Stockhausen, sister, Doris Luznar, 14 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Monday 10-11AM, at the Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Road, Wilmington, DE, 19810 followed by a Funeral Mass at 11AM. Interment will be held privately at a later time. Donations in her memory may be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963 or the above named church.
