Obituary of Beatrice Rose Solis

Beatrice "Bea" R. Solis, age 74 of Milford, DE passed away peacefully on July 29, 2018 at home. Born in Chester, PA and raised in Marcus Hook, PA, she moved to Lewes, DE to be closer to family and the beach. After spending 12 years in Lewes, she moved to Milford, DE to spend the rest of her life with her daughter. Bea worked as a concierge at Riddle Village for over 10 years, afterwards working for the County of Delaware in the clerical department until 2010. She enjoyed going to the casinos, spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She lived her life by sharing her kind loving soul and wisdom to everyone she encountered. Bea is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Amy (Nee Pastore) Shumate, 2 sons, Ed Kersey who died in 2009 and Barry Kersey who died on July 21, 2018, 2 siblings, Harriet Smith and Sonny Shumate. She is survived by her daughter, Tiffany Kersey, 2 siblings, Dottie Campagnini, Harry Shumate, and Darlene Bush, 4 grandchildren; Dylan Kersey, Trish Ham, Mark Ham and Michael Ham, and 2 great grandchildren; Makayla Ham and Logan Hannum.    A visitation will be held on Tuesday 2-3PM, at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by a memorial service at 3:00PM.
