Obituary of Albert A. Watkins

Albert A. "Buddy" Watkins Sr., age 84, of Garnet Valley, PA passed away on September 24, 2018 at home. Born and raised in Linwood, PA, Buddy has resided in Bethel Twp since 1964. After graduating from Ridley Park High School in 1952, he later served in the Army in the late 1950's. He was employed by Sun Oil in Marcus Hook for 30 years retiring in 1991. Buddy was a member of the Penn Masonic Lodge 709 F&AM. He was quite active, enjoying fishing, boating, snowmobiling and traveling. He enjoyed taking trips to new locations, especially the 16 cruises over the last 40 years. He belonged to the Indian River Water Sports Club along with the PA Snowmobile Assn. In addition to his parents, Albert and Edna Watkins, he is preceded in death by his wife, Anita who passed away in 2002, and 3 siblings, Dorothy Weller, Jean Gwynne and Robert Watkins. Buddy is survived by his 2 children, Albert "Buddy" Watkins Jr. and his wife Irina, and Sharon Watkins and her companion Rick Goracy, a sister, Betty Smith, and 5 grandchildren, Alison (Dylan) Knotts, Katelyn Watkins, Albert Watkins III, Alyssa Talley and Jenna Talley. Buddy is also survived by his longtime companion, Ann Wilkins. A visitation will be held on Sunday, 1-2PM followed by a Memorial Service at 2PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA.Interment will be held privately at Lawn Croft Cemetery.
