Nonie was such a special person, here from another era when people were kinder and times were simpler. With no computer or email, you showed the world what was important, being there for them and sharing in their lives. I will miss the talks of things from yesteryear, the discussions of music from the standards era, and just learning how to be a better person by watching how you lived your life.
You treated our kids as though they were your own grandchildren, and when I lost my mom, you were there to offer advice as a mom would do. You were many things to many people, and to me you were someone who was a one of a kind, in particular in a time when people don't take the time to really get to know people as they do today.
God had reserved a special place for you in Heaven Nonie, I am sure, and I can only hope to someday be half as good of a person as you have been and the life you led here on Earth. Thank you for all you did for all of us and your memory will live on in our hearts until we too can come join you in Heaven.
