Obituary of James H. Simon
James H. Simon, age 73 of Boothwyn, PA passed away on December 20, 2018 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born to the late John and Mary Carraher Simon, James served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam era. He resided for the past 16 years in Boothwyn, PA, previously residing in Philadelphia and Conshohocken, PA. James retired from Septa after 24 years in the early 2000's where he was a Supervisor and also worked part time with the Pennsylvania Fish and Game Commissions on the Delaware River. A devoted lifelong fire fighter, he was a member of the Bethel Fire Co. #1 Fire Police and the Hancock Fire Co.. He formerly was a member of the Conshohocken Fire Co. #2, and was vice president of Norris Hose Fire Co. in Norristown, PA. Jim's hobbies included collecting trains and fire trucks. In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his sister and brother in law, Dolores & John Roach. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Sandra E. Swietzer Simon and stepson, David Miller and his wife, Tiffany of Bethlehem, PA and several nieces & nephews. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, 11:00AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, where friends may call from 9:30AM -11:00AM. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (www.firehero.org).
