Obituary of Betty Jane Camagna

Betty Jane Camagna, age 86 of Springfield, PA died on May 7, 2016. at Sunrise Assisted Living at Granite Run. Born to the late Benjamin & Cora Schaefer Detwiler, she was raised & educated in South Philadelphia and was a longtime resident of Springfield, PA. A homemaker, she was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Springfield. She also belonged to the Deborah Heart & Lung Center, and the Springfield Women's Club. Betty was an avid painter taking lessons from Karl Kuerner. In addition to her family she enjoyed her 2nd home in Brigantine, NJ. Betty Jane is preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Camagna who died in 2008. She is survived by 4 children, Celeste (Robert) Brennan, Albert (Karen) Camagna, Carl (Betteanne) Camagna & Beth (Kevin Cunningham) Camagna, 11 grandchildren, Nicole, Natalie, Dana, Carmella, Ben, Zac, Luke, Maddy, Aidan, Domenica & Giovanna, & 3 great grandchildren, Reece, Sloan & Corrado. Funeral services will be held on Friday, 11:00AM at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 400 Lynbrooke Rd., Springfield, PA 19064 where friends may call from 10-11AM. Interment Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA. Donations in her memory may be made to either the Alzheimer's Association (Alz.org) or Deborah Heart & Lung Center (www.deborah.org).
