Obituary of Myrtle H. Bychkowski

Myrtle H. Bychkowski, age 82 of Garnet Valley, PA passed away peacefully on August 8, 2019 at Seasons Hospice at Christiana Hospital. Born in Poplar Hill, VA and raised in Dublin, VA, she resided for the past 49 years in Garnet Valley, PA, previously residing in Chester, PA. Myrtle was a school teacher and principal for Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church in Chester, PA for 25 years retiring in 1994. She earned her teaching degree from Radford University. Myrtle was a former member of Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church and enjoyed reading, cooking and drawling. In addition to her parents, Charles Rufus and Mary Elizabeth Riddle Harrell, Myrtle is preceded in death by 6 siblings. She survived by her husband of 48 years, Basil Bychkowski, 2 children, James "Barry" (Sonja) Schlossnagle and Elizabeth Ann (Bruno) Machado, 2 siblings, Lorraine (Lane) Keffer and Rodger (Sue) Harrell, 4 grandchildren, Matthew Machado, Chelsey Schlossnagle, Joshua Schlossnagle and Katelyn Machado. A visitation will be held on Thursday, 10-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 11AM. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
