To all the O’Donoghue Clan, The Ehmans moved in next to Dolores 26 years ago this July not knowing a soul in GV. On our very first weekend in our new home we were greeted with the sound of bagpipes and a lot of very happy sounding people coming from next door. We wondered just what the heck is going on and “we have to meet these people!!” Right from the very start, Dolores made us feel welcome and — not just as the new neighbors — but as part of her family. It was powerful and magical and we knew we were in the right place. Thank you for sharing your mom, your sister, your grandma, your aunt and your friend with these ex New Yorkers. If we close our eyes, we can see her out meticulously (and barefoot) weeding the flower beds at 5 am on.a summer morning. We will miss her dearly but are so grateful for knowing her all these years and showing us what the love and beauty (and sounds) of a wonderful family looks like and feels like. Rest In Peace Dolores and may God’s grace continue to shine down on everyone that was fortunate enough to know you. With love, Randy, Karen, Caroline and Garrett Ehman

Delores is one more woman who belongs in the Hall of Fame. I am so grateful to Delores for the many happy memories I have since knowing her. I, along with many of my Sisters of St. Francis will remember forever, her warm hospitality. Her daughter, Karen would yearly invite the staff from the Sisters Congregational Services to her mom's home for a picnic and a swim. Taking a tour of her home it was evident that family meant everything to Delores. I was lucky enough to spend some extra days with her and listen to her family stories. She was a generous and thoughtful woman and will be missed. Now, I can pray TO her that she will continue to watch over her dear family. I am sure, Delores is resting in PEACE.
