Dear Parker Family:
My regrets that in the days of COVID we were unable to attend Uncle Fred's memorial in person, however our love, thoughts and prayers for you all are the same as if we were there and we know that our Lord can provide His comfort over the miles as well.
Fondest memories of times with Uncle Fred and Aunt Millie. His business travel at times brought him to Los Angeles- I remember a beach adventure when he rented us a raft to try our hand in the waves at Santa Monica, and his showing us the details of how the BioMarine diving backpack worked. But I also remember how he lived out his faith in the Lord Jesus through his life - a love of the scriptures, and a seemingly endless kindness for all in the group he assembled with - young and old, rich or poor, important or lowly, he was a generous and faithful servant of God.
May your faith in the Lord, and your hope in the resurrection give you all comfort in this difficult time. Fred was a wonderful father to many - not just his natural family but to many more he was a spiritual father as well. He has left us all an example to aspire to be. We have been given a good heritage.
Love,
Stan and Geri Trim

Dearest Parker Family, How we loved your dad! So many loved him in many different capacities. He treated everyone in the same loving, generous, kind way; rich or poor, young or old, widows and orphans, heads of State. I remember Uncle Fred and Aunt Millie’s Sunday dinner. Everyone who did not have a family or a place to go, a single, a widow, all were there to be fed and encouraged in the Lord. “Oh Millie, I invited so and so…we can’t leave them out!” She would just put on another plate! But with his business ventures, he also walked with heads of companies, countries, medical, industrial, and military leaders. He treated them the same. They had to know he was genuine, caring, and trustworthy. We knew that too. Everyone, (the young people, the cousins, new “strays”) sought him out to listen to his wisdom, both spiritually and naturally. God made him “one of a kind”. He will be sorely missed by many more than we know. One favorite memory is how kind he was to his Mother-in-Law, Grandma Trim. Every time his business took him to L.A. he would phone or visit her if possible. All 3 Trim families in L.A. would get a call, “Uncle Fred is here. Come over at 7:00”. We would all be there. The husbands came home from work early (Charles, Bob, and Walt) and the moms brought cookies from their freezers, cleaned up the kids, and we all piled into Grandmas living room. Uncle Fred would regale us with stories of either work or the Bible. How we were soon going to the moon. What invention he was working on. What countries he had been to. We hung on every word. This happened several times a year in the late ‘50s, early ‘60s. No one ever had an Uncle like that! And when we grew up and went to the Morro Bay reunion, he was still the same loving, caring person. Lord, please comfort the hearts of his children, grandchildren and family. The loss is great. “My Peace I give to you…Let Not your hearts be troubled nor be afraid.” 14:27. Help us to focus on Fred’s Eternal Joy and how Jesus welcomed him, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant!...Enter into the joy of your Master!” Matt.25:21.
With Love, Patty (Trim) Cook and Don (who loved him too!)

Dear Family of Fred Parker:
You knew your dear father's time would come. It has come and it is the Lord's own wonderful time! All things are best in His hands! We knew your father quite well, though not as many others. We knew his father very well, and his brother Roger, because we live in Staten Island where they were local. Your father had moved from here well before we moved to here in 1968. He was a very lovable person. He knew many things extensively, yet he had a very unassuming, meek, character. We were very glad to know him! We will pray for you all!
Very affectionately, Roger and Ruth Walker

I have a wealth of memories of being with your family the summer Kathie was born. Uncle Fred was very supportive of everything I did. Letting me drive was a new experience for him, but he was very patient and encouraging. Looking back I realize that being almost 16, I thought I knew just about everything; but it was a very fun summer for me truly getting to know your folks.
Losing a parent is difficult at any age. My love is with you all now even more than it was when I was bossing you all around. Wish we were all closer, but thankful to have had the time together at the reunion. Much love, Lois

To the Parker family,
Fond remembrances of Fred, with memories going back over 50 years. He was an influence for my spiritual good when growing up in the Philadelphia area. He was a stalwart warrior for God's truth, a man who 'held fast what he had that no one could take his crown' Rev. 3:11, a man who set a high example of hosptitality opening his home to those in need; he was a leader especially in a time of crisis and would not budge from 'paths of righteousness' Ps. 23.3. May the Lord comfort you all and be your salvation as He was and is to Fred and to think that now he is beholding the glory of the Lord Jesus, Jn 17:24.
Kindly and with love in Christ,
Bill & Elaine joins me
