TO JENNY's Family My name is Julie & Jenny was my roommate at Univ. of Penn in Aug. 2020. I often think of her and was saddened to read here that she passed away. Jenny helped me tremendously deal with my situation as she was going thru so much trying to feel better to get home. We made the best time we possibly could singing songs all the time reminiscing about old times. Jenny talked so Loving of her Husband & children & could not wait to get home. One thing is that I am sure Jenny is in Heaven singing with all the Angels & watching over her Family & Friends & pain free. God Bless you Jenny & Rock On! Love Peace & Prayers to Jenny's Family & Friends. Julie O 'Connor

Mitch, Jaqy and Kyle,
Our deepest sympathies to you all. We and our kids, including Grace and Luke thought the world of Jenny. I had the pleasure of reconnecting with her at the grocery store, and she was so proud of her kids. We were all blessed to have known such a thoughtful, compassionate lady who showed such kindness to your school friends and families. Peace to you all. Love, The Terracciano Family

Jen was one of the most amazing people in my life!
We worked together for too many years of Strawbridge and Clothier!
Although Jen is younger than me, we both went through the same program at Drexel University!
Jen was my Maid of Honor in my wedding and my close personal friend!
Jen was also my Cancer buddy who I could talk to anytime and she could talk to me without explaining.
Jen will always share the memory of the Andrew Fletcher ship and raw oysters!
I love Jen with all my heart.
Jen loved her family- loved Mitch and her daughter and son so much along with her sisters and brother!
Jen was full of energy and life and positivity and inclusion & so brilliant & funny and patient & beautiful and selfless!
To say I will miss her is beyond words, I will keep her with me in spirit always!
I love you Jen forever!

Dear Van Dusen and Zalkind families -
Being able to call Jenny my friend over the past 50+ years has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. From the first time I met her in elementary school to the last time I saw her on Easter Sunday she always had a smile on her face and always brought a smile to mine. Even behind a mask during this past year you could see that smile!
We shared so many special memories over the years and I will continue to cherish them all. Every time I hear a Boz Scaggs song, read a great book, discover a new author, eat a Peanut Buster Parfait, stand at the Ocean City boardwalk, and get into good trouble, I will remember Jenny. And I will smile.

Jenny, you will be missed. My most recent memory of you is delivering all those bags of directories, envelopes, pens to members of our church. What effort you put in to do it all in one day. I was so impressed. God Bless that he has a really hard working angel who probably already got her wings, right Clarence.

Mitch - Elizabeth and I were so saddened and heartbroken to hear of Jenny's passing. Such a wonderful, loving, friendly and caring person. You and Jenny were always so kind to Jenna when she and Jackie were hanging out so many years ago. You both always made Jenna feel special and welcome, you treated her as your own and she (and we) loved you for that. Jenny would stop by our house and help out with her keen eye for design, suggesting things that were so perfect and obvious - but only after SHE suggested them. Most importantly, she was always a joy to be around and was always happy to see us, as we were to see her. A bright light is gone, long may she shine in your memory as she will shine in ours. We wish peace, love and comfort to you, Jacqueline and Kyle. The Potters - Steve, Elizabeth, Jenna, Ailey and Caroline.

Jenny had the way of making you feel extra-special. I wish I had known Jenny longer than I did; we would have been great friends.

To the family of Jenny Zalkind,
I only knew Jenny through listening to her sister-in-law, Henrietta Zalkind, talk about her; of how outgoing she was, of how smart she was, of how courageous and tough she was, and most of all, how lovng and kind she was. I am so sorry for your loss and send you my prayers and deepest condolences. May your memories bring you comfort and joy during this difficult time and may God watch over and bless you in the days ahead.
Sincerely,
Debra Lanham, Down East Partnership for Children

Dear Mitch, Jacquelyn, Kyle and All of Jenny’s family - please accept my condolences on Jenny’s passing. Jenny I am happy to have spoken with you the week before your passing and was comforted by the fact that you still had me rolling laughing. Jenny was the kindest and most non-judgemental person I ever had the privilege of being able to call friend. Senior year in high school with Jenny and our group of girlfriends was never boring. I can never listen to the Eagles Hotel California without thinking of her. I loved to kid her about her “Royal” VanDusen name and to this day addressed her as Baroness VanDusen of Bon Air which would make her laugh every time. So glad to have been able to do our Sunday lunches at Picas with Lynda and Linda - always a great time. The world was a better place with you in it and I am honored to have been your friend. So Baroness I will never forget you and someday we will meet again. Your suffering is over. Love you with all of my heart and heaven will surely be more interesting with you in it! Love, Patty aka Trish the Dish.

To Mitch, Lisa and Pete, Eric, Wendy, Jackie and Kyle- Jenny was always such a shining light in my life. Perpetually in a great mood, always could be counted on for a joke or some self- depreciating funny comment, was always up for anything- especially a good time. She spent several vacations with my family in Avalon and many meals at our dinner table and many sleepovers in my teenage room in high school - and my whole family loved every minute of it. Everyone wanted to be around Jenny - and we were all better people when we were. I have so many great memories- learning to water ski in OC on Don’s boat, riding around in the Myrte Mobile, Drexel parties, etc. She may be gone, but certainly not forgotten - as she touched so many of us deeply.
