It’s been nearly 40 years that we first served together on the USS Mauna Kea and I watched you grow your skills there and through your next two commands as an outstanding Machinist Mate.
I’ll never forget us snorkeling in Agana Bay, Guam where your fair skinned self used no sun block spending the entire day in the water. You were horribly blistered and yet managed to stand watch in the plant with temperatures in excess of 100 degrees, you were miserable but still pulled through.
Fair winds and following seas shipmate, we now have the watch.
