I'm going to miss the random "I love you, Troy" texts I'd get. And the visits to Asbury Park, usually with a good bit of family in tow. You were one of the most generous people I've ever met. Generous in every way possible. Rest in Peace, Dave.

My sincere condolences to the Clark family, and friends. Dave, and I go back to the 70's, and 80's at the Wilmington Police Dept on 10th & French Street. ( The good old days). Unfortunately we never had the chance to work together, but we ocassionly talked. The last time we had a fun discussion was in 2019 when we connected via Facebook (Direct Messaging), and the subject of Rappa Scrapple came up, and I told Dave that I haven't had any sine I retired, and moved to Vegas (1988). Dave asked for my mailing address because he was going to ship some to me when it was available for purchase, and I told him he didn't have to do that but he insisted.He never got the chance to do it. Anyway, Dave will be deeply missed, and I'll miss his posts on FB. Rest in Peace brother.

My husband and I both worked with Dave in Oklahoma. Definitely one of the good guys. Loved his red white and blue hard hat. Always a smile and a joy to be around. Thoughts and love to his family at this time. Rest peacefully old friend. -Tami and Steve Clifford

I first met Dave while I was still in the police academy in October of 1970, we were on a walking assignment in downtown Wilmington for mischief night. After graduation from the academy we worked together in 12 car south Wilmington. Unfortunately we lost touch over the years but I always remember his work ethic and his dedication to his fellow officers and the public. Finely reconnected at one of the WARP lunch’s. I am sad that he has passed and hope his family can get past losing him. Just remember he is watching over you and will be there in spirit. God bless his family. Rich Brown

My deepest sympathies to David M, Jodi, Meghan and Shelby. Your dad talked of you often and loved you all so much. I have known David since he was a rookie with the WPD my husband, Charles Coffiey was his training officer and friend. When my husband was ill and in hospice David was a great support to me.
