Obituary of David Jackson Clark
Beloved father, grandfather, brother and dear friend, David Jackson Clark, passed away peacefully at his home in Wilmington, Delaware on January 17th, 2024. He was 75 years old.
As a former Sergeant of the Wilmington Police Department and Chief of the Viscose Fire Company, David was a fierce advocate for the safety of those who served their communities as police and firefighters. David loved his country and had extraordinary respect and appreciation for those in the military, having himself served honorably in the United States Marine Corp. He had a long and distinguished career in safety and risk management and retired from Leidos in 2017. David adored animals, especially his Foxie, Missie and Mosley, and bled Notre Dame Irish green and gold. David had a beautiful singing voice and loved to sing, especially the Notre Dame Fight Song, or tunes by his all-time favorites Elvis Presley and Freddy Mercury of Queen. He was a Freemason, a member of DeMolay and a Boy Scout.
David was born and raised in Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania. His heart was full of love and pride for his family. David joins his parents, Jack and Gwen Davis Clark, his sister Judith Clark, and Brother James Clark in heaven. He will be missed terribly by his four children, David Michael Clark, Jodi (Brian) Drake, Meghan Clark, and Shelby Clark. He adored his two grandchildren, Ian and Tyler Drake, his loving sister Janet (Joseph) Amodei, and sister-in-law Clare Clark.
Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects at a visitation on Tuesday, January 23rd from 5:30-7:30 pm at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA.
