Obituary of Daniel R Acchione

Daniel R.  Acchione, Jr. age 77 of Glen Mills, PA passed away on March 18, 2024 peacefully at his home. Born to Daniel R. Sr. and Teresa A. Rasinti Acchione in Philadelphia, PA, he has resided for the past 48 years in Glen Mills, PA, previously residing in Springfield, PA. Dan proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He graduated from Widener University and worked for the Carpenter's Union Local 1050 for over 30 years.  Devoted to his faith, Dan was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Philadelphia Phillies, Eagles, and Flyers, and spending his summers in Sea Isle City, NJ. Mostly Dan loved spending time with his family, especially his children.  Dan is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his loving wife, Maryanne Acchione, son, Daniel R. Acchione III, daughter, Marissa Acchione, brother, Thomas Acchione, sisters, Terry Mertes, and Diane Lovett, and many loving nieces and nephews.  A visitation will be held on Friday, April 5th, from 9:00 - 10:45 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Glen Mills,PA followed by a Funeral Mass at  11:00 am. Interment S.S. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.  Donations in his memory may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Research (donate.cancer.org).
